Who We Are |
Cavender Marine Consulting is owned and operated by Captain Robert Cavender. His key areas of experience are 27 years of working in the maritime industry worldwide on board vessels of all types. Holder of a USCG and Bahamian Master Mariner License for any size vessel upon any waters (Unlimited) as well as First Class Pilotage upon the waters of San Francisco Bay including all connecting tributaries (Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers). He performed duties as a training Pilot with over 270 ship moves. Safety Superintendent for Chevron Shipping Company, performing duties as ISM Auditor, incident/near miss analysis, ship security advisor, and behavior based safety trainer. Technical Mooring Consultant and Ship handling Pilot/Mooring Master for BP on the Deepwater Horizon Site during the summer of 2010 (June 10 - Sept 20). Robert is also an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.
